The new George Street Superstore in Sydney is the largest General Pants store in Australia, covering over 800sqm.
Storepro was thrilled to push the boundaries of store design with General Pants, in order to deliver more than just an impressive space with a ‘shops within shops’ concept, but a truly exciting customer experience.
From a functioning tattoo parlour to a record store, the space contains enough standalone features to be a micro shopping strip in its own right. Customers can help themselves to the free Coca Cola slurpee machines, while browsing through the online store kiosk for additional items not available in store. They can attend events and watch live entertainment with DJs playing from behind the in-store decks. All of this in addition to browsing the giant range of clothing, accessories and other trendy items from multiple brands within the tenancy.
The location itself is significant, with a light rail soon to be built through the city. This will allow more pedestrian access up the street, meaning the store is in a prime location when foot traffic increases. The light rail will also make it easier for locals to visit the upcoming events featuring DJs and live music every month or so.
Along with project management and design, Storepro manufactured and procured various items for the fitout including all boxes and framing within the gifting area, a shoe wall for GP Sneaks, record store boxes and the tattoo are fencing. The huge project was a great accomplishment for Storepro and General Pants alike, and there is truely no other GP store like it.
